BioCentriq completes construction of 9,000 square foot manufacturing facility in southern Brunswick

BioCentriq, the cell and gene therapy development and manufacturing center of the New Jersey Innovation Institute, said it has completed construction of a state-of-the-art clinical manufacturing facility, ready for good manufacturing practices, in the southern Brunswick.

Located at 7 Deer Park Drive, the 9,000 square foot facility is adjacent to its existing pilot plant and includes all of the support infrastructure and laboratory space needed for clinical manufacturing of allogeneic and autologous cell therapies and therapies. genetics.

“This expansion of our clinical production capacity allows us to meet our customers’ demands,” said Haro Hartounian, senior vice president and general manager of BioCentriq. “We understand the myriad of challenges our customers face when optimizing and extending their processes to prepare for clinical manufacturing. Our team’s cumulative expertise in process development and GMP manufacturing enables us to meet the growing demand in this area.

The first projects will start at the beginning of the third quarter after validation and commissioning of the installation.
